Intern Spotlights 2020

We’re excited to introduce you to our 2020 interns and take this opportunity to thank them for their hard work. We’ve asked them to answer a few questions about their work and themselves. It has been such a pleasure working with and learning from them this summer.

Kei Isoiwa, Content Production Intern

Master of Business Administration

William and Mary, Raymond A. Mason School of Business

“As a Content Production Intern, I worked with the marketing team to repurpose livestream content and create graphic design on social media. By creating digital content, listening to livestreams, and attending a number of meetings, I’ve gained insights into and was inspired learning about leadership.”

What are your Goals + Aspirations?

“Since I was a child, I have aspired to become a leader who can make a greater impact on society. I like to learn from others and take risks for further growth by getting out of my comfort zones. During my previous work in the tourism and shipping industries, I was impacted and influenced by talented and devoted business leaders. From these experiences, I decided to move from Japan to the US and pursue an MBA to meet more leaders who inspire people on a global scale.”

What are your biggest insights from InspireCorps this summer?

“Working with InspireCorps, a women-owned business, has been a transformative experience. I am fortunate to have worked with incredibly courageous and enthusiastic female business founders and leaders. In addition to leadership skills such as engagement, respect, and drive, I learned that good leaders share their stories with people, and those stories drive inspiration. Sandra Spataro, Allison Holzer, and Jen Grace Baron, co-CEOs of InspireCorps, demonstrated this to me when they shared stories about how they founded the company and developed one of their core values, “Inspiration drives extraordinary results”. I am inspired by their story of leadership, and recognize how inspiration drives strong leadership and strong leaders inspire their employees.”

RK Arvind, Data Analytics Intern

Master of Business Administration

William and Mary, Raymond A. Mason School of Business

Intern Spotlight: RK Arvind

“Bringing my experience in analytics to InspireCorps, I’ve worked with the marketing team to showcase the power of datan. Beginning with setting up Google Analytics, I’ve created custom dashboards, goals, and processes to continue live tracking of website and social media reach in order to strategically shape InspireCorps’ marketing strategy.”

What are your Goals + Aspirations?

“I have always been passionate about data and want to use data to make informed decisions. My goal though is beyond data and numbers. I firmly believe with AI, Machine Learning, and all the automation going on in this world, it is the people that build and make companies great. I want to invest in and lead people to help them achieve their goals and be the best version of themselves.”

What are your biggest insights from InspireCorps this summer?

Working at InspireCorps, my biggest takeaways have been learning about the intangibles. The kind of intangibles I hope to establish in my future teams and maybe my own company: Always put your employees first, and compassion and caring for your people can go a long way to bring the best out of them. It has been a pleasure working with Serina and the team.”
